What you will find here
When the storefront is live, this page will point you to a curated collection of the gear featured across this site's guides — the categories of tools and supplies that actually get used at the grill, presented in short videos that show them in real backyard cooks. Expect the same categories covered in the gear guide:
- Thermometers — instant-read and leave-in probe thermometers, shown in use during real cooks, with the readings that decide when food comes off the grill.
- Charcoal and fire-starting gear — lump charcoal, chimney starters, and fire starters, shown lighting and holding temperature on a kamado grill.
- Tools and gloves — tongs, spatulas, brushes, and heat-resistant gloves, shown handling food and hot grates.
- Seasonings and rubs — the rubs and seasonings discussed in the rubs and seasonings guide, shown going onto the meat before the cook.
- Sausage — smoked sausage varieties of the kind covered in the smoked sausage guide, shown grilling and smoking.
Every video will show the gear doing the job it is meant to do — lighting, holding temperature, reading doneness, handling food — rather than sitting on a shelf. The point is to see it work before deciding whether it belongs in your own kit.
How it will work
The storefront will be part of the Amazon Influencer Program, a creator storefront program run by Amazon. Videos posted there let viewers see a product in use and find it in the same place. The storefront application is separate from the site's affiliate application, and it is made through a social account rather than through this website. Both applications come after this site is built and approved, and neither is submitted yet.
When either program is approved and live, this page and the disclosures page will be updated to say so, and any shopping links will be clearly identified. Nothing here will ever pretend to be live before it is.
